He considered it a failure because it wasn鈥檛 realistic enough. And now it鈥檚 one of the most famous paintings in the world! I love sharing that story with my students because I think it鈥檚 important to remember that just because something didn鈥檛 turn out the way that we wanted it to, doesn鈥檛 mean we failed.
